You may know that Dame Stella Rimington appeared at an Arts Festival in Perth (Australia) on 26 February 2009. Following her talk about her life, she was confronted by a friend of mine, who asked her whether she had lied about her evidence in court, which led to my conviction under the Official Secrets Act. Rimington was clearly embarrassed by being asked about my case, and she tried to avoid saying anything, mumbling that she couldn't remember me. Well, this is symptomatic of the embarrassment I would expect from her. She gave under oath some testimony that she must have known was false, and she thought this would never be discovered or exposed. She was wrong on both counts.
