Thank you Philip.

No doubt it's the London Pride that has obscured your memory.

Thank you for Colin Chapman's email.

Best wishes,

Phil Hall

I think the prosecuting barrister in Ruth Ellis trial became a Buddhist !!!

Bottom line - one can't make money out of peace, but with war, well that is another matter............

Dear Phil:

I can't help, I'm afraid. So long ago. All my memories of that time are muddled together. Too much drink, perhaps. Colin Chapman might be able to help. colin@colinchapman.com

Dear Philip,

I dislike Huntigton's theory and mapping of conflict. I think he has a notorious predecessor, Madison Grant.

I am writing a little biography of my parents, Eve and Tony Hall and I think you worked with my father Tony Hall, for a while. I wonder if you could confirm this and give me an insight into what was going on in that period when the Sunday Times was on strike and you did a stint at 8 Days.

My very best wishes,

Phil Hall
